How do I get service for my RYD Custom?
The RYD family of bikes have been designed with quality components that will perform as specified for many years with proper care and maintenance. We know problems do arise, and fortunately you can take your new or used RYD Custom to virtually any electric bike shop and they can service your bike. If they should run into any issue with parts they can contact us and we will quickly get the necessary components to get you moving.
Are your batteries safe?
Rest assured the dangers are not as what you read in the headlines. Lithium-Ion batteries are used by the millions all over the world and a few bad apples have spoiled the bunch. We have sourced our batteries cells from leading suppliers who ship millions a month and have been for many years. These cells provide high-performance and reliability to our product. Each battery pack currently holds a CE mark of quality which is a requirement in the European Union. UL is a North American rating and is not required in most States. Please follow all battery care information and instructions and abide by all handling and disposal guidelines.
Is it necessary to wear a helmet when riding your bikes?
Absolutely! Wear a helmet at all times.
Safety is paramount. Riding an electric bike is an activity that mixes hard surfaces and other hazards (roads, cars, other bikers, sign post) with speed. These two elements are not kind to the human body. Riding an e-bike comes with inherent dangers which can cause serious injury or death especially if strict precautions and personal safety are not strictly enforced.
The RYD Custom looks seriously cool I want one. So what about the warranty?
The short version is this. There is a 2 year warranty on the frame. All other components come with a 1-year warranty. Consumables such as brake pads and hydraulic fluid are not covered but if you give us a call and say please we can hook you up with a set of brake pads because we want to keep you riding!
